I Love to Read Month on CAM4
Ever wonder what we keep beside our beds? Well, besides the obvious lube, blindfold, condoms, and whips, most of us have a book or two for nights when we’re alone ;)
Thanks to @VixSac1 on Twitter, we’re celebrating I Love to Read Month with a peep onto team CAM4’s nightstands. Here’s what we’re reading right now,
“Secrets of a Webcam Girl” by Annabelle T. Baxter
“It’s a really good memoir on a girl turned webcam girl. Full of inspiration, tips and torrid tales. The writer used to guest blog for us too ;) Easy Kindle read.”

“The Steel Remains” by Richard Morgan
“Morgan usually writes futuristic, cyberpunk novels, these are his dabbles into fantasy – a hero joins a band of warriors to blah blah blah…the interesting part is the main, bad-ass, fearsome, tough-as-nails hero is GAY GAY GAY as the day is long. Long winded graphic homoerotic sex scenes. Mind blowing for this type of mainstream, violent fantasy. His buddy, the last remaining descendant of an ancient advanced race, also happens to be a lesbian. And black. Lots of action, lots of political and religious commentary, lots of sex, blood, slaves, monsters, dream sequences, evil elves, anal. The end.”

“The Average American Male” by Chad Kultgen
“For every girl who fears the worst when it comes to men and their questionable intentions as far as relationships go – this book might not be for you. For those who are all too aware of the “men only want one thing” theory? Well, this book might actually make you feel better in a twisted but satisfying way because you’re right.
It’s full of great lines like this:
“It’s in that one second that I have an overwhelming urge to hug her, to fall asleep with her, to wake up with her, to smell her hair, to do everything with her except fuck. then she turns around to pick up our drinks from the bar and I get a perfect shot of her ass again, which replaces my previous impulses with the more familiar set of urges to fuck her in every way imaginable.”

“The Lords and the New Creatures” – by Jim Morrison
“If you’re feeling creative, Jim Morrison’s poetry swings from erotic to intense to brightly creative pieces about sex, film, and life. There’s some buttery smooth words about voyeurism, too ;) My secret fantasy is to read this book in bed with a cute guy on a Sunday afternoon, a little post-coital brain sex.”
This book gets a double recommendation from Sam, our Digital Marketing Manager also recommends this book ;)

“The Doors of Perception” by Alduos Huxley
“This book enlightened me in so many ways. Amazing case study. Huxley literally documents his experience consuming peyote one night. The research inspired by the phrase in William Blake’s poem the Marriage of Heaven & Hell “If the Doors of Perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro narrow chinks of his cavern.”
I was drawn to Huxley after reading all I could about Jim Morrison. Specifically “No One Here Gets Out Alive”

PS – I, Abbey also give this one a double recommendation. And a high five for having an amazing marketing team!

“Simply Sexual” by Kate Pearce
“I’m nominating: Simply Sexual by Kate Pearce, a mix of history and erotic romance. Here’s the write up:
“Lord Valentin Sokorvsky has an incredible need for sex from women or men, as the result of his years as a sex slave in a brothel. He doesn’t believe there is a woman that can handle his appetites until he meets Sara. Sara not only handles his desires, but gives Valentin free reign with them, succumbing to the wild desire that knows no limits.”

The New Hite Report by Shere Hite
“For the non-fiction category, I’ve been flipping through The New Hite Report. First published in 1976, it’s a collection of women sharing intimate experiences with orgasm, masturbation and their sexual desires. This book brings Shere Hite’s thinking to a new generation of women and draws conclusions based on up-to-date and relevant worldwide findings to one of the most probing surveys ever undertaken.”
