Abbey’s Twitter Tips for Camgirls
I’ve been doing this social media thing for years, for everything from fashion, to CAM4, and even some delicious food. In the end, whether it’s #thongthursday or the new Spring/Summer fashion collection, there’s cardinal rules to follow if you want to find success on social media. And of course you do, right? So here’s my tips for social media!
First Steps to Success
~ Make your @ handle the same as your CAM4 username or similar. The easier to remember, the better.
~ Write a seductive bio and post the link to your CAM4 profile. Keep your profile and cover pictures PG to make it safe for visitors to look at your profile wherever they may be: work, public transit, etc.
~ Connect your Twitter account to CAM4 to take advantage of automated tweets that we send out for your, from your account, when you’re online! (Go to My Account > Edit Social Networks and click connect)
~ Join our weekly photo contests and get involved with the community. You’ll be surprised how far your fellow CAM4 performers will go to help each other!
Share Pictures and Videos
Men are visual, the world is visual, you need to be posting good-quality pics and videos of yourself. Make sure it’s clear, flattering, and leaves something to be imagined. Contrary to what the Internet may have you believe, we don’t need to see your cervix or small intestine to click on your picture. It’s more likely to get clicked if it’s PG or leaves something to imagine.
Use a good-quality camera or your phone. Share pics of yourself, not models. Being misleading could get you clicks but not tips or regular viewers.
Be Interesting!
Develop your style. Your writing should be an extension of your personality. A bubbly girl next door type should have totally different tweets than a dominatrix who wears full body leather suits.
There’s a huge difference between “live on cam now cam4.com/sexygirl” and “Good morning! I’m on #cam4 now doing some #anal fun cam4.com/sexygirl remember last Friday night?”.
The Basis to Tweeting
~ Include a picture
~ Always include a link to your CAM4 profile
~ Include hashtags so new people can find you
~ Mention me (@cam4) so I can retweet you!
@cam4 on Twitter
How do I know what’s working?
Connect to Twitter Analytics and use bitly.com for your links. See what’s getting clicks and analyze why, usually it comes down to the time you post, the hashtags you use, and the picture you include.
