The Cupcake Girls Talk Mental Health in Porn
Do you know The Cupcake Girls? They’re a Las Vegas-based support group which offers free support and resources to performers, strippers, sex workers, and porn industry workers. The group offers a number of different services, such as counselling, financial counselling, dental care, and many more!
This year at AEE, CAM4 met up with Joy Hoover – the President & Founder of The Cupcake Girls, and Meagan Roland, their Direct Care Manager. They discussed the free and essential resources they offer adult entertainers around the world, and CAM4’s own VR Pornstar Ela Darling and cam model SammyStrips revealed some life changing stories of their own from the Cupcake Girls Suite at AVN. On March 12, The Cupcake Girls hosted a #MeToo gathering in downtown LA to create a safe and inclusive space for those adult performers who have experienced sexual assault or violence at any point in their lives.
