Porn 101 from the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee

The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee  has released a Porn 101 video on YouTube to give aspiring porn stars and industry newcummers some insights into the porn industry. Any video with Asa Akira, Jessica Drake, James Deen, and Nina Hartley is definitely worth a watch ;)

Anyways, let’s get to the video and read on for my favorite tips!

Camming isn’t quite like porn, but there’s a lot of great info that can apply to camming. Especially for those aspiring to reach a more professional level. If you’re interested in breaking into the adult industry, or just want to know what it’s like, I highly recommend watching this vid.

The advice in the 15 minute video covers a wide range of topics and offers up some sage bits of advice, including:

1. Bring your own brand of lube or condoms to set, if you have preference.

2.Don’t brush teeth before scenes, as it can cause mini-abrasions. (Use mints or mouthwash instead.)

3. Don’t come to set with a cold, even if it’s not an STI.

4. Your mom is going to recognize you in the photos, even if you use a clever name like James Deen.

And, the most humanizing point of advice: stay home from the orgy if you’ve got a cold or the flu. Luckily for me, my phone goes wherever my Internet connection is. So I can tweet about naked people from almost anywhere ;)
