Is sex a sport?

The sex act itself is usually not classified as a sport. However, the question arises: is sport a sexual activity?

During sex, both partners are in motion and perform an activity. Accordingly, an increased calorie consumption takes place.

Although this is not as high as jogging, as a marathon runner or as intensive training sessions. Nevertheless: the pounds tumble a bit, the relationship is strengthened and your brain releases a mix of positive messenger substances, such as dopamine.

Depending on how wild you drive it, you can certainly speak of sports during sex.  With slow sex, of course, it looks a little different.

Good reasons for sports and sex

There are several reasons why sport is also good for your sex life. On the one hand, the sport makes you fitter and thus the performance during sex is increased.

As a result, sex is no longer perceived as physical exertion, but as pleasure and a whole sex marathon is possible without any problems and without much effort.

But studies have also shown that a trained body leads to an improvement in self-confidence.

And if you feel confident, you also have more fun during sex, because after all, it is important to feel comfortable and to let yourself go.

Sex during sports – is that possible?

Many people have the sex fantasy of having sex while exercising. This is also a popular genre in porn films. So why not give it a try?

If you also dream of having sex during sports, you should be aware of the following points:

  • during sports, other people are usually present, i.e. you have to be careful not to be caught
  • having sex in public is prohibited by law
  • you may lack the energy after a strong workout
  • but for a quickie it is enough in any case.

Strength training

Men should definitely go to the gym more often and do some proper strength training, because during bench press and dumbbell training, the body releases more testosterone.

This is not only helpful for muscle building, but also ensures more desire for sex.

But even in women, an increased testosterone release leads to a need for sex.

For this reason, women should also regularly do strength training. Alternatively, however, a sprint training can also stimulate testosterone production and thus also the desire.

Pelvic floor training

All sports that strengthen the pelvic floor muscles promote sex life. These sports include, for example, rowing and cross-country skiing.

But especially in men, a workout stimulates blood circulation, which leads to improved erectile function.

Women, on the other hand, can increase libido through targeted pelvic floor exercises. Since a proper pelvic floor workout enhances the female orgasm, this is the best sport for women.

It is enough if the “pelvic lift” is carried out for a few minutes a day. Simply place your back on a yoga mat and place both feet on the mat.

Now tense the butt and lift the pelvis from the floor until the abdomen and thighs form a straight line. Hold this position and take turns stretching out one leg at a time. Repeat this exercise over and over again.

Endurance sports

Moderate endurance training is not only good for fitness, but also promotes sexual desire. Examples of this are Nordic walking or jogging.

In these sports, not only is the blood circulation is stimulated, but also the oxygen supply, which leads to a stimulation of the genital organs.

However, caution applies here, because excessive endurance training over several weeks or months, as is the case, for example, when preparing for a marathon, has a negative effect on pleasure and love life.

So it is important that you do not spend too much on endurance sports, so that you also have power left for sex.

Yoga and Pilates

Yoga and Pilates also help to achieve a better sex life.  Because these sports not only help with fitness, but also have an influence on blood circulation and an improved body feeling.

And this ensures more self-confidence during sex. In addition, yoga and Pilates also release the “cuddle hormones” serotonin and oxytocin, which leads to an increase in libido.

Sex and sport combined: training sessions for you sex workout

To save time, it makes sense to simply combine the workout with sex. So you kill two birds with one stone and the good thing is, you don’t even have to get out of bed for many sports exercises.

Breast massage

For this exercise, it is necessary for the woman to walk on all fours and stand firmly on the floor with her hands and knees. A yoga mat would be best suited, but alternatively the bed can also be used.

The partner should then kneel behind the woman and massage her chest five times clockwise and five times counterclockwise.  Meanwhile, it is important that both move the pelvic area forward and backward.

Gradually, the pace should be increased. This exercise can be repeated as often as you like and definitely makes you want more.

The starting block

In this exercise, the man should sit on a chair and stretch straight through. The woman should now sit on him with her back to him in the squat. To help, just shake hands with each other and support each other. Now simulate the jump from a starting block into the water.

Then return to the starting position. In this exercise, especially the gluteal muscles and thighs are strengthened.

Double pull-up

For this exercise, a pull-up bar is needed and it is necessary that the man has strong upper arms.

The woman is supposed to wrap her arms around the man’s neck and her legs around his hips. The man should now grasp and be the pull-up bar with his hands and pull her weight as far as possible towards the bar.

Double push-up

The push-up is one of the classics in sports. To combine sex and sports, it is a good way.

The woman should lean on the forearms and the man should perform the classic push-up above her, with outstretched arms.

In this exercise, her buttocks touch his lumbar region. In this case, it is exceptionally allowed that it supports itself and that it stretches into a slight V.

At best, the exercise should be repeated 20 times – gladly more often.

Strain

In this exercise, the woman lies on her back and lifts her right leg. The man should sit between her legs, on her left thigh and slowly lift her leg up and down.

In addition, the man should massage the leg and buttocks area. This not only prevents muscle soreness, but also increases the woman’s desire.
