PrEP Pump Research
Taking PrEP daily seem like a chore? Well those days could be numbered. A pharmaceutical company named Intarcia Therapeutics has plans to market a device that would deliver a daily dose of the medicine.
They received funding, which was in the amount of $206 million dollars to better research a mini-osmotic pump that is inserted beneath the skin to treat HIV and Type II diabetes.
A foundation set up by Bill Gates is contributing $140 million to help with research.
This pump will be great for people wanting to take PrEP but think they will not remember to take it daily.
