Getting Off With: Jamesolsen
Step right up ladies and gents, I’m half-naked (often totally-naked) internet guy and card-carrying ass man, James Olsen! Although I identify as straight, I’m embracing my bi-curiosity and appreciate a beautiful human form whether it’s male or female. I’m a total exhibitionist, and a few years ago I started camming as a way to fulfill myself – I started on other cam sites and then decided to take the plunge and register on CAM4 and could not be more pleased with my experience! The inspiration for my name was Jimmy Olsen from Superman, but since the username “JimmyOlsen” was taken, I decided to go with James – early on, one of my favorite phrases was “Lois and Clark both want a piece of this!”
What are your hobbies?
Um, playing with myself? I also like to draw, and I paint but I rarely have the patience for it. I’ve been trying to read more lately – I’m a big fan of Michael Crichton and fiction in that vein, but right now I’m in the middle of Harry Potter and really enjoying it! Just about anything that gets me outside – sports, hiking, bicycling. I don’t think of my weightlifting/exercise routine as a hobby, but it’s something I do on a regular basis and I like the clear concepts of success vs. failure.
Why do you think raffles and contests are important for performers?
Personally, I’ve never run a contest or raffle, but I think they’re integral to the success of more dedicated performers. In a lot of cases, they seem like they can earn a performer money without requiring what we’d traditionally think of as “performance”; a performer can simply be on cam doing something that wouldn’t normally garner consistent tips, and viewers are motivated to tip just to participate in a raffle. Just as importantly, raffles and contests add another level of interactivity between performers and fans, and the longer-term contests keep participants coming back over a period of time. I’m always amazed and impressed by the thought and effort that a lot of performers put into these kinds of things!
How do you deal with rude people in your room?
Thankfully, I have very limited experience with this! I point out that they’re being rude and give them a hard time about it for a little bit; they end up leaving my room or apologizing. I try to be kind in all my real-life interactions, so it’s sort of fun to be standoffish if someone in the virtual world is being impolite to me. Bonus if other people in my room agree with me and join in on giving the offender some guff! I’m also a big fan of the world “please.” Since I don’t cam specifically for tips, I absolutely don’t mind when people ask me nicely to do something – but if you say “show ass bb,” I’m gonna tell you that I need to hear the magic word first!
Sexually what turns you on?
Oh my gosh, almost anything – I mean, sometimes I get a semi if my boxer-briefs are hugging my junk the right way! Seriously though, teasing really gets me hot, and so does everything about exercise – the activity, the sweat, the tight clothes! More generally, just having a partner who I’m attracted to and who I’m totally comfortable with. The ability to explore and experiment in a totally vulnerable state. To do whatever feels right in the heat of the moment, knowing that the other person (or people?) is enjoying the experience with me as much as I’m enjoying it with them.
How do you feel about sex toys? What is your favorite toy to play with?
For now, my only “toy” has been baby oil, which has made for some of my most fun and intense solo experiences. Toys always look like a lot of fun, but I’ve just never been motivated enough to make the capital investment. Every now and then I get the thought in my head that I’d like to buy something just to try it, but then my frugal side says “What if it’s not as much fun as I think it will be,” or “It’s just one more thing to clean or lose or get covered in cat fur!”. Lately I’ve been “toying” with the idea again, and have gotten as far as Googling “what size dildo for beginners”
What is your advice for new people just entering the cam world?
Be self-confident, have fun, and get yourself a Twitter! You’ll find your people and your people will find you!
Why do you have the best fans?
My fans may not be great in number, but they are great in personality! Until I started camming, I never knew how many people just really like guys who are on the furrier side. It’s not just the physical compliments that I appreciate; it’s also the returning viewers who are always happy to see me, and those who appreciate my personality (in addition to my nudity of course!). My friends and fans always make my cam time a fun and positive experience!
